The UNIBETA Peace and Development Organization (UNIPEDEV) is a tool / an instrument for peace and development, established in order to contribute to local and world peace, and help in positivity, impacting lives with development, empowerment and self-sustainable initiatives to individuals, groups and communities.
The main ideology stems from the perspective/usual saying “a hungry name is an angry man”. As such, several factors give birth to anger, and the ramifications or end results of actions of angered persons, groups and communities may not only affect those individuals, groups or communities themselves, but they may extend extensively, negatively affecting peace and serenity of other groups, communities or even nations. Looking for areas to grabs in terms of resource, know-how/skills, mindsets, equitable distribution of resources, having an enabling environment of developing mutual trust and mutually supporting each other, etc are thus ingredients of good breathing ground for the eradication of hunger, the empowerment of people, the growth of communities and peaceful living together. Anger (which gives birth to so many negative outcomes) is thus brought to its minimum where amongst others, the above ingredients of peaceful co-existence and development are promoted/encouraged/nurtured.
UNIPEDEV therefore seeks to support and equally build the capacities of individuals, groups and communities to live and operate in a more inclusive manner, peace loving and engaging in self-sustaining activities that can fight hunger and poverty, significantly contribute in reducing unemployment, bring local development, protect our environment and positively contribute to world peace and sustainable development.
UNIPEDEV is therefore founded on the following principles:
VISION
Peace is beautiful and development is fundamental. UNIPEDEV therefore envisage a world where everyone involves in achieving peace by 2050 through genuine, easy and practical measures.
MISSION
To use both modern and traditional systems of empowering individuals, groups and communities, in enhancing people and sustainable development initiatives
